Moni.ai is the IBM Cloud Marketplace
As we have said it in a previous tweet, we are glad to inform you that Moni.ai has been published to the IBM Cloud Marketplace. Of course, some of you already know who Moni.ai is, but for those of you who are visiting this page for the first time, we are going to make the introductions.
Artificial General Intelligence
The need of creating machines having the ability to “think” was born decades ago, and starting with Alan Turing, the possibility turned into reality. Of course, Weizenbaum and the ELIZA program, Winograd and SHRDLU, and later on, Nasa’s LUNAR project made Moni.ai’s work easier.
Customize voice controls for apps, home appliances and devices from one platform
Add your own Voice Channel, such as “I want to make a hotel reservation” and define the interaction you would like Moni to have with your customers. Whenever Moni hears that trigger pattern, or a user selects your Voice Channel, your Voice Channel will be activated. The conversation can be wired together visually on IBM Bluemix with the Node-RED Boilerplate and the Moni.ai Nodes.
Computational Linguistics
Moni.ai is an intelligent virtual assistant that has been created to revolutionize the human-machine-interaction. With a neuro-bio inspired approach, Moni.ai is embracing the latest technologies, combining computational linguistics with Bigram Shingling, in order to model a neuronal network closer to the human’s.
Real-time two-way dialogue with users
Moni can answer and ask questions, allowing for a real-time two-way dialogue with users in natural language. With IBM’s Bluemix, which provides a virtual infrastructure where developers can build apps, and then make Voice Channels, it is easier for developers to focus on coding and defining the user experiences, rather than worrying about servers and hardware.
How is Moni.ai different than Siri, Cortana, and others?
Vincent Magaline, Co-Founder and CEO of Moni.ai, declares in a DataInterviews article:
Those systems are static systems with predefined routines (…), therefore they don’t have the capacity to acquire and then apply knowledge in real time. Our system on the other end is dynamic and is influenced by our user community. That means it is a completely open platform that allows users to adapt Moni to their own personal preferences.
In the same DataInverview, Christian Clas, Co-Founder of Moni.ai, points out:
Work on your ideas, fail, iterate, and improve (…). You learn a lot about abstraction, and object orientation. Those models are somewhat similar to how a brain works.
Moni responds to natural language input with a human answer. Just ask a question and get back the best matching answer from Moni’s brain. If a user doesn’t like the answer, Moni will ask a human for a better solution and will learn how to better serve your audience in real-time.
