Make your festival experience greater with our Serile Filmului Romanesc app!
We love to support local initiatives and when the organizers from the Serile Filmului Romanesc festival asked us about developing an application for them, we couldn’t be more happy to do it. Therefore, with the first release of the app, we want to bring the festival closer to its targeted crowd.
It all began with an event created by students from Iasi who shared the same passion, Romanian movies. The festival is the only one of its kind in Romania and has managed to make the capital of Moldavia into the cinematographic center of the country. The month of May already represents for the entire city a marathon of events and movies. All these activities have the same purpose: to promote the beauty of Romanian movie making. This year you can find the festival taking place in Iasi, from 10th to the 14th of May. In these 5 days of the festival, you can find many different events taking place all over town, as well as movie screenings made by Romanian directors with Romanian actors. The 2017 edition is dedicated to Cristian Mungiu, who is a Romanian filmmaker, winner of the Palme d’Or in 2007.
In the app, you can find the festival’s program, including what events will take place and what movies will be screened. Alongside each movie, you can find the trailer and see which one attracts you the most. The Serile Filmului Romanesc app works just fine without any internet, so you can check the program anytime you would like to, although in order to see the trailers you have to be connected to the internet.
Note: this is just the first release of the app, we are working on making it even better, so stay tuned for new updates coming in the future.
